Vijay M. Deshpande

Vijay M.Deshpande has almost 40 years experience in management of engineering enterprises in public as well as private sector. He has traveled to more than 35 countries in Europe, Africa, South East Asia, US & Latin America  for international business. He has worked as Business Head, COO and Executive Director during last 15 years.He has worked abroad for 6 years in two stints.

He has focussed in developing strategic niches for planned growth.  He believes that without a strategic map an enterprise is like a vehicle without GPS in forests. He has specialized in Strategic Management Initiative as a platform for sharing the experience through networking advisory.

He has been associated with various large industries in the fields of machine tools, plastics and plastics machinery, international trade in engineering products and services, joint ventures and strategic tie ups. He has contributed significantly to development of new products and new markets. He has also made considerable strategic differences in R&D and manufacturing arena.

He has been involved  and dealt with over the last 40 years with organizations like CII, FICCI, EEPC, Exim Bank, UNIDO, World Bank, African Development Bank etc in pursuit of business. He has received export awards on behalf of his organizations.

He has been associated with apex bodies of machine tools industry and plastics industry not only in India but abroad also.

He is B.E.(Mech) and has specialzed in Marketing Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institue of Management Studies, Mumbai. While a student of engineering, he was successful in getting a patent in his name for innovative product designed by him.
